PERMITS

INFORMATION
 

Parking permits are required on all vehicles parked in non-metered spaces between the hours of:

  • 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday - Friday
To be eligible for a parking permit the following is required:

  • Student Permits: FSUCard (ID) and registered for classes


  • Faculty/Staff Permits: FSUCard (ID) and Appointment paper


  • Visitor Permits: A non-FSU affiliate (Student or Faculty/Staff are not eligible)


  • Parking permits are transferable to multiple vehicles at the discretion of the owner. The responsible party assigned to the permit will be liable for all citations associated with the permit. Permits are issued for the exclusive use of the owner. Permits are property of the Florida State University Parking and Transportation Office.
 

Student Transportation Access Fee

  • All students are assessed a transportation access fee per credit hour as part of their tuition. Students with vehicles may obtain their parking permit at no additional charge on-line at FSU Parking and Transportation Services. Note: The transportation access fee is not covered by the State Employee Tuition Waiver.  Student utilizing this waiver must pay the fee to be eligible for their permit
 

Types of Parking Permits

All permits will be valid September 1 to August 31 (except “V” / ”RP” permits).

W
  • Student Permit
    • students paying the transportation access fee will receive one permit at no additional charge
R
  • Faculty/Staff Permit
    • Part-time OPS employees who are also registered as students are not eligible for this permit.   This permit is renewable each year at $250.00*
RP
  • Payroll deduction available for non-OPS faculty/staff
    • no renewal each year; ONLY available through our office.   A calculated price will be deducted from each paycheck that will be equal to $250.00 per year.
C
  • Commercial Vendor Permit $310.50
    • Business card required
E
  • Emeritus/Retired Employee Permit  $10.00
    • must not be receiving wages.  Drop program members are not eligible
MC
  •  Motorcycle Permit $58.85*
V
  • Visitor Permit $51.75*(per Semester) ; $3.25 Daily
  * Prices Prorated
