STUDENT TRANSPORTATION ACCESS FEE

All students will be assessed a per credit hour fee paid with their tuition to cover their parking and transportation needs. Students with vehicles may obtain their parking permit at no additional charge on-line at FSU Parking and Transportation Services (click here). Students on fee waivers may obtain a student parking permit by paying the appropriate per credit hour fees at the same time. All permits will be valid until August 31.

Parking Permits are transferable to multiple vehicles at the discretion of the owner. The responsible party assigned to the permit will be responsible for all citations associated with the permit.

• Development of Parking Garage 4 & 5
• Continue paving, lighting, and landscape improvements for all gravel/dirt parking lots on campus
• Seek land for additional surface parking lots
• Gate all Faculty/Staff parking lots (as feasible)
• Continue to increase transportation availability to better service campus ridership demands

ENFORCEMENT HOURS

• Permits are required and meters must be paid during restricted hours:
  7:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Friday.  

• Permit designated restrictions by lot signage will be enforced from
  7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday - Friday.  

• AFTER 4:30 p.m., vehicles displaying a valid, FSU parking permit may park in all lots without regard to permit type (except where restricted by signage and/or gated barriers).  This allows students the opportunity to park closer to their classrooms and other facilities in the evening hours.

• Violations other than “permit required” are subject to enforcement 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

VISITOR PARKING

• Visitors may park in meters (50 center per hour – quarters only) located throughout campus or in the University Center Visitor Pay Lot ($1.00 per hour).
• Temporary or 1-Day permits may be purchased ($3.25 per day)
• Frequent visitors may purchase a “V” semester permit, which allows them access to ungated faculty/staff “R” lots and all student lots for $51.75
• Students, faculty and staff are not eligible to purchase a “V” permit.
• All permits may be purchased at FSU Parking and Transportation Services (Excluding W and R) located at University Center Building C-5406 between 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m Monday - Friday unless otherwise posted during peak hours:

PARKING GARAGE

• Designated for permit users (see signage for permit authorization)

• Stadium Drive Garage will be closed and locked each night as posted

• Vehicles remaining in the garage after closing will be cited

• Vehicles will be deemed “abandoned” if unmoved after 48 hours

• All vehicles must adhere to university parking regulations and posted signage

TOWING

In order to maintain an orderly parking environment, at times, vehicles must be towed.  We encourage drivers to park in a legal space; however, when this doesn’t happen the vehicle is subject to towing.  If your vehicle is towed from FSU property, please contact FSU Parking and Transportation Services at (850) 644-5278.  After hours contact the FSU Police Department at (850) 644-1234
